ABOUT US
Electricians without Borders began with a phone call from a friend in 2010.
A close friend of EWB Founder, Jeff Rodriguez, visited Haiti just after the 2010 earthquake and returned with a mission to help the shaken nation. He called Jeff, who immediately went into action rallying fellow electricians to organize a trip to Haiti.
Jeff and seven other electricians went to northern Haiti to work on one of the hospitals that was treating many of the victims from Port au Prince. After subsequent trips to Haiti it was soon clear that electricians could be helpful, not just in Haiti, but around the world. Thus, Electricians Without Borders was born.
Since that first trip, Electricians Without Borders has continued work in Haiti and added projects in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines.
